Ok - you've found a topic you're interested in, you've been talking to people about it, getting feedback and you've started reading around it. Brilliant! Now we want you to start writing about it... we are looking forward to seeing your first version abstracts posted up here by tomorrow morning...
The bigger task for Friday is to write the first draft of your project proposal. You will be presenting it to others in small groups in the morning session.
It should contain the following:
1) a title / question
2) an abstract - what is the focus of your project, what have you discovered so far (include any key quotes) and state how are you intending to approach it
3) possible chapter headings, with a broad description of what you will cover in each
4) an action plan - a list of everything you think you need to do in order to research and write the report
5) bibliography - resources you are intending to read/look at, not just what you have read/looked at already
It does not have to be designed at this stage (although you might want to include key images you have identified). We will cover the design aspects next week.
If you have any questions about this, please raise them in your tutorial.
