Hey Adam, your project sounds really interesting, I read this article today its kinda mentions narcism, don't know if it might be of any use at all, more about films than illustration, but it could help. "recent photograph of Kelly Osbourne and her model boyfriend Luke Worrall exemplifies this gender confusion; it's hard to tell who's the man and who's the woman. Indeed, of the two, Kelly has a heavier jaw and more masculine features. Have men and women become so narcissistic that they now want a lover who is a mirror image of themselves?" Whole article is here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1198460/As-Hollywoods-leading-actors-start-looking-eerily-similar-real-men.html
Nice topic. It's funny how people (including myself) have their own 'picture face' to put on whenever someone takes a photograph. It made me think of those Japanese photo booths, Purikura: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaJqdPdMpH8

I agree with the others I think this will be very interesting. What it makes me think of if for example all the 'fashion' blogs made by quite young people where they post photos of themselves, one to a few times a day, to show off what they are wearing at that precis moment. Along with that there are random pics from their days and what they are doing. I dont know to what extent this has grown in England but in Sweden it is absurd how many people have blogs like this and also how many visitors these blogs have each day. And togethether with this all the street style blogs like facehunter and the sartoliast taking snaps of 'cool-looking' people on the street.
Another thing that comes to my mind are all the various party picture web-sites, like dirty dirty dancing, weknowwhatyoudidlastnight, since web-sites like this has become more poular it is hard to go out without having your photograph taken and I think for some people that might the whole point of a night out...
Then if you go back in history you have all the narcisstic artists and I thought of Egon Schiele.
It occurs to me that if you keep doing video posts on here as you go through the project you will have inadvertently created a similar project documenting changes in your own appearance over the period of time you have been researching it... Which could add an interesting visual aspect to your report.
