Bit clearer but also confused

Ok so now I know that I am looking at exhibition design, however It is rather large and I'm not entirely sure what area to focus on. I have narrowed it down to three areas...

1 - Exhibition navigation, publication, publicity design. 

2 - Interactive exhibition (information screens, videos, people interacting with the space).

3 - Taking Exhibitions outside the gallery/museums walls.

All of these have potential, which makes it hard. I have chosen this area because it is something I would like to get into, which is great but I think that this has effected my decisions. I want to get into the navigation systems and publicity of an exhibition, which could be something I could write a report on but then that in its self is rather broad. Where as if I chose idea 2 or 3 it is a specific topic for the report, however if I chose say, how colour or symbols are use in exhibitions as a navigation system, that could work also. See now I am coming up with even more areas to confuse me. 

My next plan of action is to make a list of areas that I could look at and draw a line through ones that are too broad. Then I'm going to look up on the internet and in the books I have from the library and see if the areas are in there. I will also go to visit a couple of galleries and hopefully that will inspire me as well as giving me resources. I think also I need to work out whether I want to look at Art galleries or museums or both. Depending on the area I pick I could use it as a contrast. Right Im going to do alot of research and thinking and then by the end of tomorrow, I will know what I'm focusing on.
